Notes relating to meeting between
Gerald Finnerty, Marjorie Dolan (both of New Inn,
County Galway), and Barrister John Glynn (Principal Lawyer at
Law Firm Patrick Hogan & Co, Dunlo Street, Ballinasloe,
County Galway, Republic of Ireland), which took place at Mr Glynn's
Office in Ballinasloe on the afternoon of Wednesday June 30th
2010.
Main points:
1) Gerald Finnerty and Marjorie Dolan took copies of the
following three letters to the meeting:
a) October 28th 2005 (To Whom It May Concern Letter
from Dr Michael McCavert GP);
b)
Letter to John Glynn dated
14th May 2007 (from
Gerald Finnerty and Marjorie Dolan);
c)
June 16th 2010 letter (from William Finnerty) to
Leslie Morgan, UK Social Security Agency (Belfast).
2) The meeting last approximately 1 hour and five
minutes.
3) During the meeting John Glynn read all three of the
letters listed above.
4) Everything considered, John Glynn feels he cannot provide
any legal help with the difficulties in question, because he
believes that the problems concerned are not really legal problems
at all, and that instead they are purely psychiatric. Consequently,
John Glynn believes that it is psychiatric help that William
Finnerty (brother of Gerald Finnerty and half-brother of Marjorie
Dolan) needs, and not legal help.
