seen it, there's an interesting piece on
RTE's web site
this morning titled:
"Churches give advice on
Lisbon".
"The Standing Committee of the Catholic
hierarchy" have not a
SINGLE word to say
about the fundamental social issue of
"democracy" it
seems, and the fact that
hundreds of millions of
European voters outside the
Republic of Ireland
get
no chance to have their say at the
ballot
box, on this most important decision: possibly the
MOST important political decision
ever so
far for
Europeans.
So much for
"government of
the people, by the people, for the people" -- as far as
the
Catholic hierarchy is concerned at
least.
