Dear Gerry,
Thank you for your e-mail September
4th 2008.
With reference to the matter you have
mentioned of the police wishing to talk to me regarding the
laptop computer they confiscated from me on May 31st 2008,
please note that I wrote to Chief Inspector Michael Winters
(Omagh Police Station) regarding this matter on June 2nd 2008,
and that a copy of the text of the letter in question can be
viewed at
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/ChiefInspectorWinters/2June2008/Email.htm
.
As can be seen from the Post Office receipts at the
above Internet page address, I later that same day (i.e. June
2nd 2008) sent printed and signed copies of the e-mail letter
in question through the recorded delivery post to Chief
Inspector Winters, to Dr Michael McCavert GP, and to yourself
(which I trust all three of you received in the days just
following June 2nd 2008).
As can be seen at the above
Internet address, paragraphs 10 and 11 of the letter in
question read as follows:
"After giving my overall
situation some very careful thought since last Saturday
evening, I have now decided that it would be extremely unwise
for me to attend any interviews with the police (on a
voluntary basis) until such time as I have been provided with
the services of:
a) a psychiatrist or a psychologist
who has specialist knowledge regarding the treatment of C-PTSD
injuries caused by legal abuse; and,
b) the services of
a lawyer who fully recognises the factual existence of
human rights law (as set out by the
United
Nations), and who is fully prepared to use it on my behalf
for my protection."
"In the event that the police might
decide they wish to interview me before
both of
the conditions set out in the paragraph immediately above are
in place, it is my intention to remain silent (which I believe
I have a legal right to do)."
The main reason I'm
writing to you now is to find out if the social services are
yet in a position to provide me with the medical and legal
help mentioned under
a) and
b) above?
As
you already know, and as we have discussed on several
occasions, I have long felt that I am completely helpless (on
my own) as far as getting the medical and legal help I need is
concerned; and, as you have kindly pointed out to me on a
number of occasions, it is precisely this feeling of total
helplessness regarding these two extremely important forms of
help I need, which lays at the core of the growing set of
C-PTSD (Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) difficulties I
am experiencing at the present time.
As you already
know, all of my many efforts made during the past several
years to get the medical and legal help I need, and indeed all
of your numerous efforts as well, have so far failed to
"produce the goods"; and, allowing for what I have come to
think of as my unwanted "machine gun interview" with the
police at my home in Greencastle on Sunday, August 31st last
(outlined at
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/GerardMadden/1September2008/Email.htm
), I now feel I am more in need -- than EVER before -- of
proper medical and legal help.
I have not been back to
my home in Greencastle since the morning of September 1st last
(which is almost two weeks ago now), and this is because I
feel completely unsafe about going there. Hardly surprisingly,
this new business of feeling I have to stay away from my home
in Greencastle (together with all the very sudden disruption
to my life that this police event has caused me), is adding
significantly to the already large set of C-PTSD symptoms I
already had before my "machine gun interview" on August 31st
last.
With further reference to the matter of the
confiscation of my laptop computer by the police on May 31st
2008, please note the following:
1) I'm not at
all sure that I broke the law in any way while conducting the
O2 Mobile Broadband system tests I referred to in my letter to
Chief Constable Winters of June 2nd 2008 (copy at
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/ChiefInspectorWinters/2June2008/Email.htm
);
2) If I did unknowingly break the law in any
way, it was completely unintentional and in total ignorance of
whatever law/s it is that I might have
broken;
3) There was no victim (that I know of)
in connection with the possibility that I might have broken
some law/s, and the police have never informed me that anybody
has suffered any kind of loss or injury as a consequence of
the tests I was carrying out on May 31st 2008.
Allowing
for points 1 to 3 above, and correctly or otherwise, I have
always believed (and continue to believe) that the completely
over-the-top "machine gun interview" I was provided with on
Sunday, August 31st 2008 was a cleverly timed, hostile
response (from the police) to the overall information I have
at the present time set out at the following page address:
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/PrimeMinisterCowen/9May2008/Email.htm
-- which, significantly I believe, now includes reference to
the
e-mail I sent to Dr Thomas Foster (Consultant
Psychiatrist) on August 25th last: just a few days before my
"machine gun" interview of August 31st.
As I have
already indicated to you in my e-mail of September 4th (copy
at
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/GerardMadden/4September2008/Email.htm
), I believe the contents of some of my more recent e-mails
(listed at
http://www.humanrightsireland.com )
have touched on very raw nerves somewhere (just as I hoped
they might): and hence (I suspect) the thoughts and closely
associated symbolic actions of "shooting the messenger" --
which might well (I believe) have become a reality if, for
instance, I had "panicked and ran" on sight of the two very
large machine guns, or, as could very easily have happened, if
I had an "explosive outburst of anger" of the kind
commonly associated with untreated C-PTSD.
While I am
very pleased to have located the "raw nerves" (and the way in
which this indicates to me that I must be on the right track),
I am not at all happy of course about the "machine gun
interview" and any other similar type of police action which I
feel is likely to now follow: particularly when it is my
intention, in the interests of I trying to get justice for
myself by lawful means, to stick to my present
path.
All things considered, and for reasons which I
believe anybody who studies the contents of page address
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/PrimeMinisterCowen/9May2008/Email.htm
will understand, I feel I am now in the bizarre position of
needing protection from the police (and all closely associated
agencies).
As a consequence, I am copying this e-mail
to the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, and to the Garda
Ombudsman Commission in the Republic of Ireland: in the hope
that they can take steps to provide me with the protection
from the police (and other associated agencies) I feel I now
need.
While I realise that a study of the information I
am at present providing at Internet page address
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/PrimeMinisterCowen/9May2008/Email.htm
would probably take most people several hours to complete, I
trust that all concerned will take account of the fact that a
few hours is a relatively very small amount of time compared
to the several years it has taken me to find all of the main
components of the information in question, many of which have
been well hidden from general public view up to the fairly
recent arrival of the Internet Age, and to then assemble the
several parts efficiently in an integrated way for the purpose
of trying to provide an accurate outline picture of the
amazing set of global social problems connected with the so
called "Money Masters": problems which, to the best of my
knowledge are not being addressed by anybody (including the
police) at the present time, even though vast amounts of
extremely serious crime are involved, and the lives of
billions of people are being adversely affected by the very
diverse range of criminal activities in
question.
Instead, and as my unwanted "machine gun
interview" with the police on Sunday, August 31st last
indicates (to me at least), all the police wish to do
apparently -- and, far more importantly of course, all that
those senior "public servants" (so called) in control of the
police wish to do about the "Money Masters" problem
apparently, is to bury all information relating to it where
nobody (or very few) will ever get to know about it -- six
feet beneath the ground in my own particular case
perhaps?
The old habits of the "Money Masters" (and
close associates) die hard it seems.
To reiterate what
I have stated above, my main reason for writing to you just
now is to find out if the social services are yet in a
position to provide me with the medical and legal help
mentioned under
a) and
b) above; and, in the
hope that it might help to speed things up, I feel I should
stress that I believe the only form of medical help that is
likely to be of any use to me in the unusually difficult
circumstances I now find myself in, is the kind mentioned
towards the end of the Irish Times article titled "
Dealing
with injustice" (by psychologist Marie Murray) in the
newspaper cutting you handed me on
April 19th 2006.
Please note that I have since placed a scanned copy of this
article at the following address:
http://www.europeancourtofhumanrightswilliamfinnerty.com/MarieMurray19April2006/IrishTimesArticle.htm
"Ag duine féin is fearr a fhios cá luíonn an bhróg
air."
(The wearer best knows where the shoe
pinches.)
I look forward to hearing from you regarding
the medical and legal help I feel I now desperately need, and
which I believe I should have received during the weeks and
months just after I came under the care of Dr Thomas Foster
(Omagh Hospital Consultant Psychiatrist) in the early part of
December 2004.
In case there might be any doubt about
it, please note that I have still not received any reply from
Dr Foster to the letter I sent to him by recorded delivery
post on August 11th 2008, which I titled:
"State Tyranny and the
treatment of associated Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
(C-PTSD)". (A copy of the
text of the letter can be viewed at
http://www.humanrightsireland.com/DrThomasFoster/11August2008/Letter.htm
)
Best wishes,
William
(Finnerty).
